SO MANY LIMES!

LIMES! Wondering if anyone is interested in a produce swap. I have more limes than I can freeze, pickle, bake or drink. Happy to exchange with any veges! I'm at Carina.

To bag or not to bag my banana bunch

I have a good bunch developing on my dwarf ducasse banana, finally after 2 years of just looking pretty. I am wondering if I should bag it and at what point and with what exactly? At the moment the bell has released about 6 hands but they are still very small. Also - where can I get banana bags from - could I recycle something? Any advice very welcome - this is my first crop ever and a bit protective of it!

Water chestnuts floury?

I have just harvested the first tub of water chestnuts. I waited a couple of weeks after the foliage had all died back. Never having had them fresh before, I'm not sure if they are right/good. They are decent size and crisp but after peeling they seem kind of floury/starchy, not translucentish. Raw, they are powdery and don't taste that sweet crisp like the canned ones.
