It started when I made some chutney - or - what the hell is in my fridge?

I found some apples that weren't looking their best today.  After a bit or work, I ended up with three bottles of chutney.  One of these bottles went in the fridge - where I immediately bumped into an existing bottle of "paw paw, tomato, zucchini, and date chutney."  

"Oi Roz.  Where the hell did we get this paw paw chutney?" I yelled.

My Roz says, "Sophie made it.  You got it at Christmas."

"Oh, that explains the sauerkraut bottle beside it!"

Anyways, that got me…

Whats in the ground at my place.

Thought I would share what ive got going on at my place. I have trees spread out a bit in different areas and half my trees are 2 -3 years old. The rest have been added incrementaly over those years. Ill grab some photos on the weekend when i'm home in the daylight.

Start of winter

Hi Folks,

Was doing the report for Sophie's garden visit and got the urge to blog myself.  What was I gonna do anyway - too wet to garden :)

Lots a beans at my place at the moment.  I picked this many yesterday and was only going to go out and take photo's today but these were all on the vine so HAD to pick them too.  I can't let them get out of hand as what usually happens is I get sick of picking them and then they go to seed and stop producing.  My plan is to take the excess…

Cooking recipes from around the world

My wife and myself attended this cooking session. There were only 12 people attending, usually about 20. We prepared and cooked recipes from 5 countries, Malaysia, Peru, Norway, Italy, and Turkey. After 1 ½ hrs preparing we shared the spoils for lunch. I would recommend these cooking sessions to anyone who maybe interested. The garden is recovering from summer and starting producing again (slowly) - just as we start getting back into colder weather (lucky it's Queensland though, right?).
