Winter is here but we wouldn't know it. 25 degree days are lovely but not seasonal. Thankfully the gardens are still pumping out produce. Eggplants, zucchini, Broccoli shoots and the first of the peas.

Today was the first day of the rest of my life.
To mark the occasion I market-shopped for seedlings and produce.
'Tis my big day out every fortnight.

Now that the rain has come -- and gone -- I guess I can have more confidence in what's a'happening in da soil.
Today's tasks are clear: plant out the seedlings I've grown from seeds and mulch the potato plants that have come up.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
