A long overdue update! The chilli seeds I got from Lissa ages ago were planted in a pot about a year ago, and I thought they had suffered the same fate as most of my "pot" plants. Over the past couple of weeks the chilli has shot out of the ground and is now bearing about 20 green fruits! The rest of my garden at the moment is limited to herbs... 22nd of April update...

Started to get my act into gear this week & did a few small jobbies around the patch..

The Aquaponics set up has been tweaked to include an extra overflow as we have had a few overflow incidents this week due to an over abundance of algae.. Haven't set up the new grow beds yet but hope to have a picture of them by the next post... For now I do have a clip on the new Jade perch we released into the system last weekend...…

The Garden in April

Now that the Summer heat and humidity has passed, the garden can get back to growing cellulose. After 18 months of laying down all the matter I can collect -- paper, grass, clippings, dead cane toads and poo -- I can now drive my fingers into a rich sandy loam and feel the moist biomass in every sod. Not my vegetables, but a photo of which I'm proud

Alas, I didn't grow these, but I took the photo on film (4x5 large format) and what you see is the result of my first effort to develop film at home. I'm very happy with the result.
