The primary preparations to be used each year are BD500, 501 and Cow pat pit (some people call this soil activator). There are also six preparations to be used in compost making. All these preparations are available from Biodynamic Agriculture Australia.
At our workshop this weekend in Samford, we will going through each of these preparations and how to use them. Lots of other helpful content and practice will be provided and experienced. Perhaps you should come along.
With regard to a rotary hoe, we do not have one. We hired one last year to hoe some new garden space which was quite large and grassed and had not been cultivated before. Our other gardens are maintained by hand. The hoe worked well. Its important to not go too deep with the hoe.
