Profile Information

About me:
Just bought a house in Enoggera on a quarter acre. Just starting out on my own garden and looking to establish a garden with some permaculture elements.
I am currently involved with the following community gardens and groups:
None, just starting out. Lot81 Micro Farm in Ferny Hills is run by a good friend.
I am interested in:
Finding out what other gardeners do, grow, what works well in Brisbane. Interested in Permaculture approaches to gardening.
I can offer (you can't offer too much or too little - we don't mind)
What I am looking for:
Information, Training and Consultancy, Plants or Produce, Events, Community Involvement, Gardening Help

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
