Any ideas for gardens in New York or Eastern Canada?

I am really interested in community gardens too and believe there are a number in New York City but am not sure of the best ones to see.

The yakon have been very popular and I have just a couple left for sale now.
I dug mine in recently, bedding them down with a loose friable soil and old manure and compost. There is a nice thick layer of cane trash over the top to protect the soil from erosion and drying. I am looking forward to a big crop in Autumn next year.

Hi Linda, I have just sent you an email. I wonder if you are around today, my husband is in your area and if possible I would like him to pick up some Yacon.

sounds like the tubers have diversed usages :) ~ Guess learning how to cook is the next natural progression after veggie gardening ~ I hope I will get to that stage soon, ie having enough harvests that I have to think of ways to consume them :)
