Che has been banned from this website Krystal.  They won't bother you or anyone else again.

Just enjoy your time on BLF, get to know us on line, we are a friendly lot and when the time is right for you I am sure you would enjoy one of our GV's or Outings. We would make you feel most welcome. Happy Gardening...

My pleasure Krystal.  Join in some of the conversations - you'll love it.  None of us profess to be experts.  Some folks know some stuff and are happy to share it.  Most of us just learn as we go.  That's half the fun!

Welcome to Brisbane Local Foods (BLF) Krystal, You may like to join one of our GROUPS, feel free to join in the discussions and ask questions.

We look forward to meeting you at one of our Garden Visits, 2016 GARDEN VISITS CALENDAR here.  I am sure you would enjoy meeting and visiting in our member’s gardens. We have members who grow many different kinds of Gardens, Permaculture, Aquaculture, Wicking Beds, Traditional and many more.

About this site

Welcome to Brisbane Local Food (BLF)!

This site was created by Scarlett Patrick, to build capacity in the Brisbane  community for growing, buying, and living sustainably. Six years on, BLF is an important hub to promote, discuss, share and learn about local food growing, production, gardens, services and activities happening in our part of the world.

This site exists for you - make the most if it!

BLF is motivated by passion, not profit. We thank all volunteers and members who make this an active and inspiring space to be, as well as those individuals, organisations and groups working to make the future greener.

What is local?
The closer the better - but regional and global activities are important too.

Why local?
To reduce food miles, increase food freshness & security, improve social outcomes and reduce the unused outputs of our living environments - like stormwater and green waste.

Brisbane is a sub-tropical city in Queensland, Australia.
