Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion. It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)
GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.

Anyways, I dumped all my worms into the compost bin coz I kept forgetting to feed them, and my parents don't like worms... Costa just set up worm farms & compost bin at the backyard make over part of his program http://www.sbs.com.au/costa you can watch it at SBS website. Also recommend you to download the Gardening Australia podcast from ABC ~ if you don't have enough bandwidth.. I've got last couple years downloaded....
Last but not least, do try to go to May's garden visit at Mark's place ~ check out events
I saw citrus gall wasps' bumps on my pumelo tree yesterday, but probably will wait till I can clear my pumpkin vines to get better access to deal with them..... I so wanted to remove those pumpkin vines.. but there's still pumpkins developing and I can't bear to rip them out... *sigh*
