Apparently if you cook them (any beans) with Kombu, you can avoid the flatulence side effects. I found some Kombu at the Genki Mart a Japanese store in Alderley.

I've found that they are the easiest and best producing bean to grow in Brisbane (especially in my warm backyard). But Darren has been telling us this for years :)

I'm still thinking about it Sophie.  The last lot went into a big chicken pot pie that I made.  I'm thinking Mexican with this lot.

Lovely! Would you believe my neighbour "harvested" my first crop of madagascar beans as immature green pods thinking they were snowpeas... Luckily there seems to be new flowers coming on. Bon appetit! What will you cook them with?
