Growing local

I am hoping that these will last another month or so without going to seed, so that we can use some for the Christmas meal. It will probably depend on how hot it gets until then.

I planted them in Autumn, so they are not fast growing, but I have been harvesting now for around 5 months. I had three baths planted out and the ones that got the most sun in Winter grew the biggest, each bath has taken a turn in growth size as the sun gets higher in the sky and puts each bath in full sun.

What a whopper Roger, how long did it take to grow that size?   When I grew them, it took ages and they 'didn't get to that size.  Leek and potato soup sounds good,

Got them from Bunnings - no idea of the variety. I am leaving one to go to seed, Hasn't happened yet. I still have several in the last bath to be picked. Amazingly good result. Will definitely be growing these again. By the way Dianne, the two polystyrene boxes I got from you have grown a great crop of Spring Onions, must have been a great year for growing the onion family.

How long did these wonderful Leeks continue to produce like these ones and are they a specific variety.
