Growing local

a couple of weeks ago some of the local wildlife nearly stripped all the fruit off the plants. This barrier has since worked quite well and we are getting to eat the strawberries ourselves... yum!

I wasn't getting any fruits last year too.. but putting an upturned old wire paper basket on one plant seems to be working well... too bad I only have one old wire paper basket ^^"

we didn't have any luck with strawberries last year - fruit wise that is (great looking green leafy plants though). Needless to say we are happy to be getting some nice fruit this year... it's all about the trial and error really... i know where not to put them in the garden now after last years limited success
