Slow to bolt... except if you live in Brisbane. I barely got a leaf out of this choy sum before it started to bolt. This all went into last night's dinner. Plenty more seeds where that came from.

How cold is it where you are because may be from big change in temperature from day to night and the short days may not help.Planted potatoes 4 months ago and think that to get good results in winter need to be in full sun and no shadows as even though in open area got fantastic results from those away from any shade.
Interesting point Andrew. I would say ‘yes, full sun all day’. The others seems OK and to be honest, I’m sure I’ll be up to my neck in it before I know it. I will however check just how much sun they get at various times in the day.
Did it have enough sun? I noticed my lettuce used to bolt if they didn't get enough sunlight (as well as in the heat).
