We had our first coloured egg this afternoon. What a beautiful colour!! 43 g for a first egg so hoping they will get a little bigger.

She is an aracauna crossed with an australorp. I have 3 more pure breed aracauna's who should lay an even deeper blue. 2 are older than penny but I think because she is crossed with australorp and they are an egg laying breed, she laid earlier than the others.
