Growing local

Works so well for me -- both the rig and the chemistry.
The vinegar kills the weeds by acidifying them and their local environment.
The Borax then drowns any regrowth in too much of a good thing essential -- Boron.
Using the dish washing bottle allows each squirt to hit its target generously without the frequent failures you'll get with a spray bottle.
The vinegar will cost you around $4 and a kilogram of Borax is usually $9 (approx).
Everything can be purchased in the local supermarket.
Unlike other homemade garden mixtures, this concoction stores well.

Just keep it a away from your bean or pea crops as they don't like Boron near them.

The boron in the mix  is supposed to be toxic to weeds...

For those who are unaware of Boron toxic levels, please take care with overuse.  A little bit goes a long way.

This mix works quickly. You should get results in 48 hours. Once the weeds die off, go over the terrain to spray any survivors you may have missed.
