That looks pro. Can you please tell me how you did this? I tried earlier in the year, to grow potatoes in hessian sacks, but failed miserably. They rotted so badly that in the end, that there was nothing left of the seed potatoes, what so ever!

When did you plant the potatoes? I thought they were to be planted in another month or so for Brisbane ...

Hi there, I'm involved in our school vege garden. We use old car tyres to grow spuds in. As the spuds grow, we throw another tyre on, add more soil and more spuds. Seems to be working well :)

Hi Elaine, our potato tower is constructed of various bits and pieces we had in the shed! We used 4 old curtain rods in a square, then wrapped chicken wire around it. As the plants grew, we noticed that they started growing out of the sides on the sunnier side, so we wrapped some thick black material we had around it, which forced the plants upwards again. It seems to be growing really strongly, so hopefully we'll get a good harvest!

Hi Steve and Paula ... great idea for the potato tower. I'm planning on doing something similar and wonder what kind of frame you used and what type of material you've draped it with. The plants look fabulous! Thank you for the photos and for sharing your garden with us :-) - Elaine
