Pomegranate trees seem to be very easy to propagate can put cutting in soil or air layer or grow from seed or graft onto another tree getting the best varieties may the biggest problem .
Don't know if this one would be worth grafting - it was a bunnings bought one. Cheryl, this is only just over 2 years old. I planted in 2014. Had lots of flowers this year but I didn't think any had set until I spied this one in the treetop.
Would love to have a go at grafting, but Susan is the only one I know who has a pomegranate tree
Pomegranate can be grafted may be able to graft some different varieties on to your plant .
Than Jeff, looks like mine has to go
There is a dwarf pomegranate that is ornamental but it flowers .
My dwarf pomegranate was one of the first trees I planted and still no sign of even a flower. I hope it isn't just an ornamental because the plant looks so healthy. Susan, is this one of your first trees or am I missing out on something
wonderful news - how old is the tree? we are waiting on our first fruit too !
Very exciting! :D
I know what you mean about foreign names sounding way more exotic Elaine - my brother in law was Michel Betremieux which in English translates to the mundane Michael Bettermore.
