I'll check that out. The floor is only in that small spot a path between the two beds.

The chooks? How are you going to keep the wood floor clean especially from mites. Not being a chook owner, I only read about it and it seems that mites (wherever they come from) love nooks and crannies and come out at night to suck blood from the chooks.
