Mashed ube and quail cooked in mulberry bbq sauce
The best way to eat ube ( i hav tried many) is to steam and mash with equal amount of boiled purple sweet potato. Ends up like mashed spuds.
The mulberry bbq spicy sauce goes well with quail on the bbq. Steamed greens as usual. All produced here at the urban farm.

The botanical name of this white yam is Dioscorea Polystachya or Chinese yam. These are various ways of cooking it: in soup, steamed with chicken and Chinese mushroom, or in stir fries with prawns or meat.
I grow it in a tall bucket which makes harvest easy by tipping out everything.

My mouth is watering, I love the purple potato mash. I might copy that.... imagine a scoop of purple next to a scoop of orange, maybe even a scoop of cream coloured potato, that will start a great dinner conversation.......
