I think maybe a frog deficit - am installing a pond. When my chickens get into the garden they scratch all the seedlings out, grrr. Actually am wondering if it might be caterpillars now - bok choy volunteers in the gravel next to the vegie garden are pristine - very suspicious. Although I've spotted lots of grasshoppers and no caterpillars or moths, so it's a long shot. Maybe the grasshoppers just haven't spotted that bok choy.Dunno.

Yeah! The baby spinach was a big success last year! Grasshoppers.. that's unfortunate. Maybe you have a chicken deficit as Mollison says? ;)
