If this seeds I'll see if I can grow some more plants from them. Love a challenge :)
I too left mine in a tiny pot until it was busting at the seams. I had to cut the pot apart to repot the plant. So far no sign of flowers.
Thanks for that Florence - I really should pot the poor little thing up and now I know how.
Thanks Florence, that's a useful article.
I remember there's a more recent segment on propagating desert rose, but I can't find it.. here's a fact sheet from Gardening Australia
This one is in such a tiny pot I give it water almost daily. It's covered in flowers at the moment. Do they grow from cutting do you know?
We bought two from the Jimboomba markets over a year ago now. One died from overwatering and the other is doing alright, just grows very slowly. I have it in a pot with a 50-50 sand and potting medium. It's watered about once a week.
It was Rajki - no longer a member.
Maybe mine is thriving on semi-neglect? It does get water daily when I water the seedlings but is still growing in the tiny pot it was given to me in.
The lady who gave this to me (exotic name that now evades me) grew this from seed she told me.
Your desert rose has flowered! Nice. Mine's still growing very slowly.
