Rochedale Produce

3509 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek Qld 4127 (Near IKEA) I got three
of my chooks, and chook feeder, fake eggs there. They usually have
some purebred chicks or POL in stock.. at least the few times I was
there… I think I saw some Sebago seed potatoes going for $2
once…but I wasn’t paying attention as I was looking for something
else at the time, quite a few months ago too since it’s a bit far
from my place, I only go there when I go to IKEA on a Saturday
morning.
Beenleigh farm supplies

101 - 107 Logan River Road, Beenleigh, Queensland 4207 I’ve only
been there once, as it’s not close to anywhere I normally go. Went
there because heard their cow manure was $5 a bag on the radio. Saw
hybrid laying chicks and POL there, but that was like a year ago
now..
Hay you pet supplies

not actually been to this one, only noticed it at our recent visit

Eden
Seeds provide non-hybrid heirloom varieties. Save our
biodiversity, save $ by being able to grow from seed, and use local
garden varieties suited to daily consumption and local conditions,
which are not necessarily good at being transported for weeks. You
can also find these at the Green Grocer in West End and other
eco-friendly stores round Brisbane.
http://www.edenseeds.com.au/content/default.asp
Diggers Seeds - non hybrid
seeds, based on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne (so the
varieties are not so suited to Brisbane’s conditions necessarily,
but they may have stuff you can’t find elsewhere and you can adapt
the growing instructions).
