There has been a lot of discussion about small homes - compact, sustainable, off grid, interesting design. Quite a few of us seem interested in the idea, if not the reality quite just yet!
I love the idea. I keep telling people I would be happy to live in a tent if I had my garden around it. A well built small home would be better!
We can but dream.

Now that is tiny. Trying to figure out where the loo is! I would need some outdoor cover area to go with it - or that meeting house you talk of Christa.
Convincing the council to have a multiple dwelling on a suburban or even a semi-rural block will be the challenge.
Found this on a website, wouldn't it be great if we could be satisfied with this single living tiny A- frame. You could build a little community of tiny houses with a larger meeting house. So many positives, using a combined garden, sharing water and power etc. Though there are negatives, everyone would have to get used to me in my pyjamas for a couple of hours in the morning.
Remarkable story about Peter and the village he built Dave.

I'm a corrugated iron junkie. Love the stuff. And it works in Fiji. The design is brilliant...esp with the breezeway...esp in the tropics/sub tropics.
Great images of these wonderful homes. $12,000 each to build..
We're all impressed with the photos of the Blackbutt house Christine. Looks like it's all decorated and liveable these days.
