HOW TO HOST A GARDEN VISIT

We're always looking for new gardens to visit. Don't be shy, it's easy and no one expects "perfection" (whatever that is) they just want somewhere to meet up and chat!

Please take a few moments to follow the link above and read the simple instructions in full.

Then contact Dianne with the information needed so I organise an Event Listing for your visit.

WHY WE LIKE TO HAVE GARDEN VISITS:

It's amazing what we can learn by visiting other peoples gardens. I know I pick up at least one good idea or plant each time.

You might be surprised at how keen other members are to visit your garden and see what you are growing, how your chooks / quails are kept, share their own excess produce, cuttings, seed and generally just have a good old chat with other like minded people.

Be brave!

The visits are informal and free. Choose to come to as many or few as you wish.

Dianne's mobile number 0407 691 485 for emergencies.

ORGANISE YOUR OWN EVENTS!

Anyone is welcome to post and organise their own Events of any kind - in fact it is encouraged.

If you choose to do this please put your own name down as organiser, not mine. It can be very confusing for everyone if my name is on it and I know nothing about the Event.

Responsibility for running the event is up to the organiser.

Thank you

Dianne

I do have couple of people interested in having a GV at the end of this year but everyday it seems less likely it will be this year, I will keep you posted, perhaps it might be a nice idea to have a picnic in a park for End of Year, get some fresh air. Let's hope next year is a Safer, Healthy Year and this nasty virus is hit on the head.

Good Morning, We are now looking for Members to fill the gaps for the Garden Visit Calendar for 2020. Anyone who may be interrested please contact Dianne through the Message box on BLF or phone on 0407691485, I can sometimes be hard to get on the phone. Hoping for a lovely full GV New Year.

I am asking that a change be made to timeframe for the notifications for the addresses to be sent out for the garden visits.  I will make that change on the BLF futures group.  Just giving a heads up here as well.  It appears on our home page too, so nobody should miss it.

I'd like to post some public love and gratitude for our Dianne (and Graham).  Here is a woman travelling overseas and still organising our visits for next year.  You've done an incredible job of "herding cats" to keep the visits happening Dianne.  Thank you so much.  And then, as if she hasn't done enough, she welcomes every new member and directs to the garden visit group.   BLF would be very much poorer if you weren't here doing what you do.  Have a wonderful visit to China!

Next Sunday 18th will be Andy and Rozie's GV. One not to be missed, Andy is always very generous with his knowledge, we remember with (that warm feeling) the GV with Andy showing us how he makes his many kind of spirits.

This is the time now that I am preparing the GV Calendar for 2019 I am looking for Members to host their own GV. All you need is a Garden, it can be as small as a Balcony or as big as a Farm. It can be a New Garden you want help to establish or as big as a Productive Orchard or An Example of a Fully Sustainable Garden. In other words your garden can be neither to little or big.

It would be lovely to visit the Gardens of some of our New Members as well as old, so if you would like to be one of our GV Hosts for 2019 please email me through the BLF Site or phone me on 0407691485. Cheers,,, Dianne

I may RSVP to atttend the GVs but please accept my apologies if I don't turn up.  My sons health has deteriorated and there may be times when due to emergencies I will not make it.
