Winny Street Crop Swap

The Winny Street Crop Swap is a monthly Brisbane community gathering to swap and share home-grown and home-made produce, info & ideas. 2014 is our 3rd year running.

Our Crop Swap is a monthly gathering of green minds to share, swap, trade or talk about fresh organic home-grown and home-made food. This Crop Swap is held in Carina Heights (2 minutes drive from Carindale Shopping Centre).

We also have a guest speaker at each gathering to present on a food, garden, health or related topic. If you'd like to present something please let us know.

Cost: gold coin contribution - includes morning tea
Venue: Winstanley Street, Carina Heights
Friends from all areas of Brisbane/SE Qld are welcome.

Welcome to Brisbane Local Food (BLF)!

This site was created by Scarlett Patrick, to build capacity in the Brisbane  community for growing, buying, and living sustainably. Six years on, BLF is an important hub to promote, discuss, share and learn about local food growing, production, gardens, services and activities happening in our part of the world.

What is local?
The closer the better - but regional and global activities are important too.

Why local?
To reduce food miles, increase food freshness & security, improve social outcomes and reduce the unused outputs of our living environments - like stormwater and green waste.

Brisbane is a sub-tropical city in Queensland, Australia.
