Intestinal Darren. People talk about the wind JA cause which is embarrassing in public (not in private!) but the wind getting from A to B is what causes the pain.
I've eaten JA a few times from different sources. The first couple of times weren't too bad, the last time was memorable. Perhaps they were a little old, not sure. Just know they aren't for me.

Hello Lisa I was wondering what pain was it that the Jerusalem artichokes gave you

I picked up some at a greengrocers in Strathpine and found this

when I started looking to see what to do with them.

I mainly wanted them as an alternative to sunflowers.  I love sunflowers but they have trouble standing up to the winds here.
