Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying use this constantly all the time, it is mined and as such is not a good sustainable ethic but it is fantastic to kick things into gear it is considered an organic input but that is beside the point.

D, the use of these kind of products are not about eliminating the need to add compost/manure or general organic matter which is what will change your sandy soil to nice loam along with some clay.
The Fulvic/Humic acids are about giving results while you are building soil content and quality, to that end's you can as I said add little bits often, perhaps by adding a T-spoon to your de-chlorinating watering barrel you will be simply adding almost homeopathic amounts constantly.
What this will achieve is a building of soil carbon raise the electrical conductivity, increase cell strength in your plants etc etc

A HA, now i dont have to be a pain in the buttt to anthony. heehee.
Got to add little bits often. T-spoon to watering can. (declorinated) Ive been leaving cans and buckets out in the sun from morning till the next arvo, then i use to water garden.

Anthony's stuff (real scientific word I know lol):
* The black gritty grains were for the soil and called 'humic acid'
* The brown powder is 'fulvic acid' - above
* The brown liquid is the EM - bugs

I'm a new member.

Can you tell me how to make your own EMs rather than buying them from the US for example. Following is an extract from http://www.bokashi.com.au/Products.htm

Hi Michael, on brewing EM motherculture or EM1 is simply a process you need some gear that can be sterilized after each batch, to create activate from EM1(motherculture) you mix molasses's and EM1 together in specific parts depending on how much you are brewing lock it down as an (anaerobic) no air fermentation.
The water you are adding your mix to must be chlorine free, and also fungi and bacteria free and and heated to around 35c and must remain at that temp constantly for around 10 to15 days it will build up pressure and must be vented at regular intervals always keeping a little pressure in the container.
when its ready it will have a Ph of 3.3 to 3.5 and be sweet sour smelling..............
or you can simply buy it from me or Donna for $5 a ltr this will make up several hundred ltrs......


Ok you can create an EM product through fermenting different leaf material but it is very tricky, time consuming and never as good or diverse as EM1
