Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Hi All,

It is just fantastic to see the BLF site becoming an institution from the small start of 4 original members, we had no idea it would become what it has, so well done indeed to you all.

For anyone that is interested I am now personally based in Armidale NSW. Living biotics and Skyfarms are still based in Ipswich but our next big project is to create a truly authentic sustainable wellness retreat and authentic organic (biodynamic) sustainable garden and agriculture workshops facility on 800 acres, in the high country of the New England around 6 hours from Brisbane, start date January.

For anyone interested likely workshops and field days will start some time next year with organic garden and farm planning, Sustainable alternative green construction, soil transformation (using highly intensive stocking cell grazing, microbes, legumes and worms), Off grid power system planning, microbes in the garden, grey water systems construction and more..... So if anyone is interested in spending some time on what will be an amazing demonstration of interconnected sustainable systems which will see an amalgamation of Permaculture, aquaponics, Biodynamics, biological agriculture and green off grid systems , keep watching this space.

Once again the site looks fantastic and I was very surprised by the membership numbers, 2000+ totally Inspiring.

Welcome back Anthony :)

Good to hear from you and hear about your exciting project. We would certainly like more information as it evolves. You can either create your own Event listings along the way or send me the info and I will do it for you.

A lot of those 2000 members come once only (looking for specific info usually) but we do have a core of members who contribute regularly and actively.

Keep us abreast of your project, please.

Hi Lissa, will do and thanks nice to be around again.

Good to hear from you Anthony!

Very interesting project :)
