Fabulous day! A combined 'garden warming' with members of the Dayboro and Surrounds Garden Group and BLF. With around 30 or so enthusiastic gardeners, what could be better?

The weather - hot but fine.

The garden - coming along for so young a garden.

The location - high in the hills surrounding Dayboro with views to die for. I've made 2 panoramas, link at the end of this report.

The crowd - keen gardeners, talkers and eaters ;-)

And our genial hosts who have done a wonderful job of establishing their home and garden on a greenfield site. Mary-Ann and Colin are the hosts with the most

And Anne Gibson who gave her time and expertise to remind us about vital microbes for our plants to thrive. Anne showed us various ingredients in her potting and seed-raising mix recipes. Anne explained about looking after plants in pots.

Did I mention the food? Several varieties of freshly-made sausages from the Dayboro Butcher. Cooked to a turn with Pumpkin and other vegetables. Plus salads including 2 types of Beetroot salad, Tabbouli, Rice salad, green salads. To say nothing of the Rosella cordial - not too sweet with great Rosella flavour. And Jan's kettle popcorn: we missed Jan, we missed the popcorn! Good to see both are back.
