Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Hi All,

Due to my husband's health and disability (he was the green thumb in the family), we have moved back to our humble home with a barren lawn and would like to reestablish an edible garden.  We have some edible plants, mainly herbs in planter boxes.  Would dearly love fruit trees that are established that we will double as a chicken forest (seen in a garden visit years ago).

We live on the northside of Brisbane.

Looking for locations from Sunshine to Gold Coasts for established fruit trees.

Any suggestions welcomed.

I gave a banana pup away last visit.  I'm sure once spring comes there will be more though.  I can't give you established trees, but I am more than happy to send plants your way.

Thx Andy.  That'll be lovely.

Try your local farmers markets Becky for cheaper trees. Bear in mind that they could be seedlings, not grafted trees, with the inevitable risks.

Oo, will do.  Thx Lissa.
