Great Anthony, I will encourage all members to bring along any excess to the first meeting. I am hoping to have a stack of things to share, so far have some bunching onions potted up - not sure how I will get them there on the train, but I'm sure I'll manage... ;)

I have a heap of dill seeds but I am not sure where I got the plant from, so I will have to grow them out to see if they are viable - although I am not sure if they would have F1 dill seeds?.. The same goes for my coriander & basil.

I have some green zebra seeds drying, grown from Eden Seeds, but the plants had a few problems and based on this experience are definitely suited to early in the season - mind you I will keep trying throughout the year and keep an open mind - they taste really yummy and are eaten before they get inside! I also might try to get one that stays a bit greener as I believe red fruits are worst for pests..

I'm going to harvest the rocket and dill seeds next weekend. I have coriander too but not enough to share. Do people want parsely? I can let one go.
Broccoli and turnip are coming (but the broccoli wasn't heirloom - a sprouting italian version though, so am interested to see what it's babies are like - maybe I should experiment at home first though).

We have a lot of broccoli seeds now - let 3 plants go. The plants came from an online australian organic heirloom seed website- I'll have to ask Clairtje which - or send her a PM yourselves if you wnat to know it. Actually I think they are broccolini. Yummy though.

Hi Florence

Good to see you here! Hubby buys our sugar cane mulch direct from farmers (honesty based system) at Jacobs Well area - about 15 kms east of Beenleigh - and we pay about $4 for non refined bales and $8 for refined bales.

I have a couple of crops, but with the disease problems not ones I really want to save seeds from.. early days though, at least I am trying and willing to learn from my (and others) mistakes!

My current goal is to save at least one type of seed by the end of this growing season and at the moment it looks like the winner may end up being black russian tomatoes, but it is early days - who knows maybe all my seeds will start to sprout and my gardens will be full in another month - here's hoping!

I will have to get a crop before I can save seeds ^_^ . There's organic bagged sugarcane mulch on sale for $8 (save $3.99) at Hypermarket this week ~ I am going to check it out tomorrow ~~
