Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Can someone please identify this plant. We got the seeds from a BLF member, it is hardy and a prolific summer vegetable. I love it in a stir-fry.20200119_074913.jpg

Maybe a green Amaranthus? If it gets a green seed plume on top later on?  The red striped stems should be a clue to someone.  Not sure about that one Janet.

It has a red coloured seed plume on top.
I agree it's probably an Amaranthus which can be quite weedy, but it is also very delicious.
