Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone on the Northside has a regular excess of eggs from their happy, free-range chickens that they would like to sell?

We are after about one to two dozen a week if possible.

We live in Lutwyche. We work in Milton and Eagle Farm if that helps for collection but otherwise we are happy to pick up and would love to meet the chickens.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thankyou!

Hi Janet

Have you found a supply of eggs?

We have four girls who produce more than we need. Our property is in Moorina (near Caboolture) but I work in Milton.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Regards,

Angeles

Hi Angeles,

Yes please we are still looking for an egg supplier.

My sister works in Milton so can drop in to your work (or vice versa) to pick up any spare eggs you might have.

Could you let us know how much you are charging for your eggs?

Thankyou,

Janet.

Hi Janet

Sorry for the delay getting back to you - I'm in Sydney this week doing training.

Does 30 cents each sound fair?

I'm back next week and can bring you a one or two dozen on Monday if you want. I work on Walsh St (the other side of the railway from the XXXX brewery).

All our eggs are dated in pencil with when they are collected and are kept chilled. The colour in the yokes is incredible compared to ones from the shops!

Best regards,

Angeles

Hi Angeles,

That’s no problem and thankyou.

We grew up having chickens many years ago and really miss that rich flavour! Looking forward to your home grown eggs (as many as you can spare we will happily eat)!

I will give you my sister’s work email (Camilla):

camilla.brown@morgans.com.au

If you don’t mind emailing her your work street address she said she would come over on Monday for the eggs at a time suitable for you (she is just over on McDougall Street).

Thanks again,

Janet

Hi Angeles,
I don't suppose you still have chickens producing eggs? Your eggs sound divine. I'm happy to collect from your place.
Cheers,
Simone
Hi Angeles, It's Camilla, Janet's sister. I haven't been at work Monday or today, Tuesday, so wasn't sure if you emailed me about eggs. If you have available and haven't sold them yet I would love to pick up on Wed.

Apologies for contacting you through the website, I have your email at work but not at home and didn't want to leave any email you might have sent to me unanswered.

Not a problem!

You didn't reply yesterday and I suspected so :-)

I have them here with me - I will be here all week so do not stress! come on Wed or whenever you have time.
