Take a look at Brisbane Transition Hub Lainie. Don't know how active / non-active they are.

Yep, I did take a look on there, Lissa, but couldn't really get much of a sense of where they're up to... Do you think we need a Strathpine one?! ;)

Every town and district needs one if we are to effectively counter big $s including mining, csg, gmos and all that is trying to tear apart our fabric of society.

If you want to start one!

Rolf Kuelson (Keulson, Kuelsen??) was talking about this group yesterday at the GV. I think it's a bit stalled from the sounds. Perhaps not enough interest.

Every extreme weather event or natural disaster is bound to push this project a little bit forward.  We're all still blithely going about our business.

The site looks a bit slow moving but what a resource!  We all need to start relocalising NOW for the sake of food and energy security.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
