While looking around on that Utube site, I found this interesting contraption. The yanks do everything in a big way. I wonder what this machine costs.
Our son has a vacuum sealer that he uses for meat etc. This may be adapted to do a similar job. But watch this SITE
One could do herbs, vegies etc and more.

That is definitely interesting. I'd never heard of a Harvest Right before. It's an expensive bit of kit (nearly $3000 USD) but I suppose if you're going to 'Retire at 40', it may be a practical way of saving every morsel of food. I'd love to be able to freeze dry but I guess I'll just have to stick to drying, fermenting and pickling.
