Growing local

I've mainly used the same seed suppliers --  Green Harvest and The Italian Gardener -- for most of my seeds.

I've used others for special hard-to-get orders but I got a surprise when I ordered from The Seed Collection:

For a $1 -- in the main -- I could indulge in seed porn--with easy online ordering. Good range.Cheap delivery.

Great place to order your regular season's seeds and maybe a few new ones to add.

Oh cool! Thanks, Dave. Wanted so few seed packets that paying GH or other local suppliers several $s for delivery was not an option. Four packs of seeds, $2 delivery. I can live with that!

I have used the Seed Collection for a while now. I like the fact that they are cheap, and 1 reason for this is that they only provide a smallish number of seeds per packet. This is as much as I need for my plantings - cost around about 1 dollar per packet, and they are very quick to deliver,  and as you say the postage is small due to the light weight. If you pay nearly four dollars per packet at the other sources mentioned you get far more seeds than you need which then require storage to keep them viable, and of course the postage is much more expensive.
