Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

'How to grow great-tasting fruit and vegetables the organic way - free of pesticides and chemicals" with a foreword by Bill Mollison.

This book is a fabulous insight into a functioning food paradise system - how to put it together, how to run it, what the individual members of the system need for resilience.

For my money it's the best practical all-in-one book in the Permaculture pantheon. If you also read Permaculture I, all of Jackie French's gardening books and the Seed Savers Handbook you probably don't need to read anything else :)

Linda is from central NSW, Jackie French is from southern NSW, Seed Savers is from northern NSW - so they are pretty translatable to Brisbane conditions, unlike some of the Melbourne material.

This is a fantastic book, I have just recently completed it and was so impressed that I have been pestering Bob to do some of the things she suggests. I have just passed it on to my daughter and son in law. I can highly reccommend it.
