sunflower

Dear All,

 

Would anyone please give me some recommendation of growing sunflower? I hope to grow the sunflower that give me large seed, not small one used to feed the bird. Thanks. I checked it in Bunnings and there are some many different varieties.

The big head Russian  varieties may be what you are looking for.

But I see where the MONGOLIAN GIANT SUNFLOWER may have the biggest seeds.Bondie Seeds has them.But sold out. Guess it's a job for eBay

Could always try sprouting some of the bird sunflower seeds you like. Not sure if they're F1 or anything, but they do seem to sprout.

They are usually quite small. I am looking large seed. Thanks.
