Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

Not local food, but my other big cause - renewable energy. I caught a bit of that dick smith show last night, Lissa, because you had mentioned it here.thanks.
Ziggy switkowski is a nuclear industry lobbyist. It's true that Australia is less risk than other places - but why risk horrific hazards? He seemed a bit dismissive of renewables, by contrast, which was disappointing. Overall though, it was helpful to get the thinking and future technologies out there. Onya dick.

The future of energy is important to us all. Missed Dicks show myself, I fall asleep about that time :/ I'll try to find it online somewhere to watch.

I've signed the petition.

Vetiver grass helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion.  It can protect against pests and weeds. Vetiver is also used as animal feed. (Wiki.)

The Vetiver Community Project is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
