Just thought this would be interest to most of us, these are all the ones I know of. I'd love to know more closer to home where there's a shop I can visit, or even weekend markets. Please post it here if you know of any not listed :)

Bamboo, water plants (water chestnuts, Lotus), and Root crops (e.g. Taros, Yams, Cassava, arrowroot etc)
And yet another seed supplier has popped out of my screen ;-) This one in the Lockyer Valley specializing in herbs but with many other fruit shrubs and some veges. Worth a gander ... www.beautanicals.com.au/
We generally haven't promoted it much, but at the Jane Street Community Garden in West End we do sell seeds we've collected from our garden. We don't have a huge range at the moment, but what we have has all been grown organically by our volunteers and work well in Brisbane. We also sell seedlings and plants direct from the garden - depending on what is currently in season. We currently have over 200 plants growing, including over 60 herbs. So if you're looking for plants or seeds, it's often worth while stopping by the garden on Thursday or Saturday mornings. If we've got it growing we'll usually sell the plants or seeds for a donation. Or you can email me with requests and I'll let you know if we have any available.
btw last year I purchased a heap of seeds from Cornucopia via ebay and less than half of the seed packets germinated. Most of them were unusual seeds and the packets had next to no info on how to grow them or what size the plants were, so I wouldn't recommend buying from them if you can get the same seeds elsewhere.
Cornucopia is one of my suppliers of seeds and I can relate to poor germination. I have written to them about some which failed earlier and they replaced them with something else. I can relate to the lack of info, too! No, I would not recommend Cornucopia.
Just this morning two more packages of seeds arrived, one lot from Willowbrook Cottage (now down in McLean, Qld) via eBay containing Styrian hull-less pumpkins (for pepitas) which are a bit hard to find. And the other package was from Beautanicals at Laidly including chick peas and peanuts and other stuff. The packaging is very professional and there is quite a deal of info for each variety. I can recommend both places, Willowbrook's seeds have always germinated, Beautanicals haven't been put to the test yet but they do have an extensive range.
Unless the purveyors of seeds say where the seeds come from, then my feeling is that the lesser-known seeds are possibly imported from who-knows-where and/or come from states other than sub-tropical Queensland. Making the growing of the plants problematical. But then you gotta give it a try!
