Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

NB I love this book. I also have the book of ferment and human nutrition and it is phenomenal (as is the Permaculture Manual)

cheers Scarlett

Cool - I remember reading it 20 years ago, it really changed my thinking.

I wonder if anyone tried making the fermented walrus recipe from the Ferment book?
ack! luckily i haven't come across any local walruses so have been saved from having to challenge myself with this!

i don't mind drinking "off" milk and rancid butter now unless it smells bad which people find pretty confronting

haven't tried eating grasshopper yet though
Is it the same, just reprinted or has it been revised in any way?
i don't know - I still have my old copy. It might say on the website if you look? I think probably just reprinted with a new cover from the message above, but I don't know
and i'm rather excited about the potato book
