Can't find them anywhere. I don't want the dwarf variety but the really big climbers that take off skyward.
I can swap them for some Sicilian Squash/Tenerumi (pic below) -- another proficient climber with pleasant white flowers that bloom on an evening.. Tastes like a Zuchini.

Ah...Just remembered: I should be able to get some seeds at a Chinese Grocer.
Is the squash in the pic a very enthusiastic climber and the 'beans' grow while you're looking at them? If so, then it's sometimes known here innocuously as 'New Guinea Bean'. It may be from New Guinea for all I know, but a bean it is not. It's definitely a squash-type plant. The fruits can get nearly a metre long and at thickest about 200mm in diameter. When small they have some taste but when they are really big they are bland. I had one growing along a boundary fence and one plant stretched the whole 30 metres and produced so many fruit even the Labradors got fed up with them. Great compost, though!
There's many Forum members who grow climbing Snake Beans so you won't have to go out and buy seeds. We've got a comprehensive seed inventory between us and you'll get your seeds.
Dave I have two varieties of Snake Beans - can post if you send me your address via my page, i'm in Central Qld.
Hi Jane, wondering if you'd still have some of the snake bean seeds available. I've tried numerous nurseries and the like here in Brisbane and none of them seem to stock them. I have a variety of citrus fruits and veges on the go so let me know if there's anything in particular that you're after as well and would be happy to arrange a swap.
