Ingredients

2 cups Lemon Verbena leaves

3 lemons, juiced

2 cups sugar

2 cups boiling water

1 teaspoon citric acid

Directions

Steep Lemon Verbena leaves in boiling water for 10 minutes.

Strain into a saucepan and add lemon juice, sugar and citric acid. Discard leaves.

Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Place a piece of muslin in a sieve. I use a new nappy liner or a piece of new Chux.

Strain again to remove any further little bits of the leaves.

Pour into a sterilized bottle and allow to cool.

Add cold water and iceblocks to taste and enjoy.

Tastes like lemonade but is very fragrant and refreshing.

Don't know how long it keeps as it doesn't last long enough in our house to find out!
