Meaning the crop is ready to be picked and eaten fresh and/or prepared for freezing.
The Rainbow Chard has got away on me a bit lately, just haven't been able to prepare it for freezing. It's at its best now.
There are 12-14 plants with at least a bunch of stems on each.
The alternative to someone from BLF feeding it to their animals or eating it themselves is for it to end up in my compost. Not a fitting end for such beautiful plants!
Please private message to me on this forum if you'd like my Rainbow Chard - come to Deception Bay and it's yours. First come, first served.
I would like to swap some pawpaw for chard this Saturday Elaine if possible. Just one bunch would do fine if others want some too. I have an appointment at Petrie at 9.45am so could drop by quickly before that, say 9am?
