Brisbane Local Food

Growing local

I have a customer seeking tomatillos to make a traditional Mexican salsa for Xmas.

Since it's a nightshade, I figure they must be in season about now?

I've picked quite a few lately but they seem to be slowing down, haven't checked in a while there might be some more hiding in there...

Where are you located Jake?  If you're north or west of Brisbane, I could perhaps swing by...

Sorry Jodie, I checked and there was only one on the ground that the ants got to. There's lots of flowers so hopefully there'll be some soon.

No problem.  I advised her to seek out green tomatoes instead.  Not the same, but near enough.

The Vetiver Community Project is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
