I do like Armenian cucumbers -- and the long Asian types likeSuyo Long.

Today Bunnings was selling striped Armenian cucumber seedlings -- so I bought some.

Coincidentally, a site I follow -- The Scientific Gardener -- shared this informative post on Armenian cucumbers.

Some useful info for sure. The striped variety is actually a melon!

I know that it grows OK in my patch. Unlike other cucumber varieties...maybe the dinky dye ones.

I grow the suyo as well dave. This year I grew a few poinsett and they were prolific and nice and crisp with good flavour. I had so many I pickled 3 jars and they held their crispness. Almost finished the pickled ones just in time as my cucumber seedlings are just coming up.
