I thought the Events were Fabulous well this info is something else. I know most of our member do not need these services but we never know when we will.
as found on the BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL site
You can use Council Cabs if you are:
If you are eligible to use this service, you may be accompanied by a carer or a child under your care.
All Council Cabs now honour the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free travel for anyone accompanying a person with disability who requires attendant care support.
To make sure there is room for everyone, shopping is limited to five regular plastic bags or three recycled bags, or the equivalent, per passenger.
The Council Cab operates weekly in most Brisbane suburbs. In some areas, services are offered twice a week. The service picks you up from your home and takes you to your local shopping centre.
Each one-way trip costs between $1 and $3. This fare is paid to the driver as you board.
An Authorised Companion is free.
Find out if your suburb is serviced. You can contact Council on 07 3403 8888 or your local Councillor for more details.
To book a Council cabs service, phone 07 3403 2227. Reserve your seat up until 12 noon the day prior to using the service or request that your booking be made permanent. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available on request.

Good info, Dianne - thank you for posting. No idea if Moreton Regional Council offer such a service but then I haven't looked. Ditto with the BCC courses on garden-related topics.
