Growing local

1 tbsp dried crushed chilli

1 tsbp sweet paprika

1 tsp chopped fresh ginger

1/2 tsp saffron threads

2 onions, diced

2 bay leves

1 tsbp ground cumin

2 garlic cloves, chopped

2 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley

2 tbsp chopped coriander

1/2 preserved lemon, sliced thin

1/2 cup olive oil

juice of 1/2 lemon

 

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and leave for 1/2 half before use. Can be stored for up to 7 days.

It's mouth-watering! Roll on the day when my Lots o'Lemons produces lots (or any) lemons. Those preserved lemons have a flavour all of their own so I'm told. Should I live so long!

GrowVetiver

GrowVetiver is a plant nursery run by Dave & Keir Riley that harvests and grows Vetiver grass for local community applications and use. It is based in Beachmere, just north of Brisbane, Australia.
