Charles Massy -- Call of the Regenerative Farmer

Why transition to true guardianship...

Great summary of the perspective of changing to the regenerative approach to the soil..

Charles Massy, author of the groundbreaking Call of the Reed Warbler: a new agriculture - a new Earth, speaks with the Understorey team Adrian Glamorgan and Elizabeth PO' on the couch at his farm high on the Monaro plain south of Canberra.  Once a proficient industrial farmer, Massy cast aside his mastery of a merino stud farm to discover what it would take to help restore the landscape. By listening, watching, and acting strategically to work with a farm's natural functions, a farmer does not have to be dominated by pesticides, hybrid seeds and indebtedness.  It's an important book, perhaps Australia's own Silent Spring, written by someone who has lived and loved his own land for many decades, and researched 80 regenerative farmers around the country.
