What is the catch? No peak oil effects after all?
How come this is not in all newspapers?
Very interesting presentation. I did a little bit of research here to find out more about it. It seems that using thorium as a nuclear fuel has been researched for many years and is still ongoing, but it still requires a lot more work and investment.
Summary of article in the link:
"The use of thorium as a new primary energy source has been a tantalizing prospect for many years. Extracting its latent energy value in a cost-effective manner remains a challenge, and will require considerable R&D investment."
Interesting points: Australia has the worlds most known thorium (19%). India has made using thorium as an energy source a major goal.
